Studio Policies / Tuition Information
Recreational Tuition Rates
$44 per class
Tuition is due the first week of every month. 10% discount for taking multiple classes or multiple dancers from family. Additional fees are charged for Recital Costumes ($50) and Recital fees ($35 - due in May during ticket sales). Fees are based on an average of four classes per month. No additional charge is applied when a fifth lesson occurs in a month, nor is there a reduction when fewer than four classes are held due to a major holiday, absence or recital.
Returned check fee: $25.00
ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
Class Times / Days
Classes begin after Labor Day on Tuesday, September 4. Classes are held from September – May, concluding with our annual recital. The 2019 Recital is currently scheduled for Sunday, June 2 (Dress Rehearsal on Saturday, June 1).
Recital
Recital is scheduled for Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Edwardsville High School. Dress Rehearsal will be held on Saturday, June 1. Recital Photos will be taken at the studio at least 3 weeks prior to recital and ready for pick-up during dress rehearsal. Dancers will be measured for costumes in December and a deposit of $50 costume cost will be due the by December 17. Notices will be posted in the lobby.
Dress Code
- Youth Combo Classes: Black or Pink Leotard / Pink Tights / Pink Ballet Shoes / Hair off of face (Bun preferred). Ballet Shoes / Jazz Shoes / Tap Shoes as needed for appropriate class. Ballet and tap Shoes for young dancers can be found at Walmart and Payless. These are inexpensive, as dancers grow so fast.
- Hair MUST be secured back in ponytail or bun and bangs off of face. No one dances
with hair down.
- Please only wear dance shoes into studio
Class Cancellation Due to Weather
If Edwardsville Schools cancel due to weather – Studio E will cancel all recreational classes as well. When in doubt, you may check studio website bulletin board at www.studioedance.com, Facebook/Instagram or send email to DLKeating@aol.com
Season Calendar / Holidays
Please pick-up a Studio Calendar at front desk. We will be closed over Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring break and a few select holidays. We also list dates such as Wear Your Halloween Costumes to Class and Costume Measurements for Recital.
Safety
Young dancers should always be walked into the building. Even though there is a receptionist, do not leave young children unattended prior to class time. Please pick up student promptly after class.
Student / Parent Responsibilities
Always be respectful and kind to teachers and other students. Students must not run around waiting area or studio – this is for everyone’s safety. Young students must not leave the studio waiting area until picked up by parent. Please do not send food, soft drinks, or energy drinks into the studio. Water is the only beverage allowed in the studio. Most importantly have fun, learn to love dance and keep smiling – Everyone dances better with a smile on their face.
