Tuition Rates
45 Minute Classes --- $41
60 Minute Classes --- $49
A $15 registration fee will be charged at initial registration, as well as first month's class fee. Tuition is due the first week of every month. 10% discount will be offered if tuition is paid for 9 months in full. Additional fees are charged for recital costumes ($45 due in November) and recital fees ($35 in May per dancer which includes 2 tickets). A $25 service charge will be posted for any returned checks.
Class Times / Days
Classes begin after Labor Day on Tuesday, September 6. Classes are held from September - May , concluding with our annual recital. The 2012 Recital is currently scheduled for June 2-3.
Please have dancers to class on time. Young dancers should always be walked into the building. Even though there is a receptionist, do not leave young children unattended prior to class time. Please pick up students promptly after class.
Dress Code – VERY IMPORTANT
- Ballet/ and Combo Classes: Leotard / Pink or Tan Tights / Pink Ballet Shoes / Foot Undeez also for older girls. Tap shoes needed for Ballet/Tap Combo Class. PLEASE have all shoes before your first class
- Jazz: Leotard or Close Fitting shirt / Dance Shorts or Jazz Pants / Jazz Shoes
- Hair MUST be secured back in ponytail or bun and bangs off of face.
- Please only wear dance shoes into studio.
Student Responsibilities
Always be respectful and kind to teachers and other students. Students must not run around waiting area or studio – this is for everyone’s safety. Young students must not leave the studio waiting area until picked up by parent. Please do not send food, soft drinks, or energy drinks into the studio….Water is the only beverage allowed in the studio. Please enter studio when teacher invites you in and be seated for a quick headcount and then be ready to ….DANCE. Most importantly, .have fun, learn to love dance and keep smiling – Everyone dances better with a smile on their face.
Parents Responsibilities
Help your dancer understand the disciplines that dance can bring. Remind them to listen to their teachers. Please make sure that dancers arrive for class on time. We ask that you respect the training and knowledge of the teachers – teachers must be able to maintain authority in the class so that all dancers can enjoy the class. Children that dance together sometimes make friendships that last a lifetime.
Class Cancellation Due to Weather
If Edwardsville School District #7 cancels due to weather, Studio E will cancel all recreational classes also for the day. When in doubt, you may check studio's website bulletin board at www.studioedance.com , Facebook or send Email us.
Season Calendar / Holidays
Please pick-up a Studio Calendar at front desk. We will be closed over Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring break and a few select holidays. We also list dates such as Wear Your Halloween Costumes to Class, Parent Watch Week, and Costume Measurements.
Recital
Recital is confirmed for Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Edwardsville High School. Dress Rehearsal and Photos will be done on Saturday, June 2. Dancers will be measured for costumes in mid-November and a deposit of $45 costume cost will be due the by the end of November. Notices will be posted in the lobby. We will charge a recital fee of $35 per dancer which includes 2 tickets.
