2011 Studio E Dance Recital Information
Recital Tickets
Tickets go on sale May 16th
Tickets for the Studio E Dance Recital will go on sale Monday, May 16th at 5:30pm at the Studio. A full packet is given to each dancer with all details. All tickets will be sold as reserved seating. Tickets will continue to be available for sale until the recital date. There is a one time recital fee of $35 which includes your first 2 tickets. Additional tickets are $5.00 each. If seating is still available, tickets will also be available at the door.
To streamline the process and not see people waiting for in line for long periods of time, we are going with the below process.
- Upon arrival you are given a number
- Please arrive with your Ticket Form completed and Payment Ready (cash or check – exact amount greatly appreciated). Extra copies will be available on desk if you have forgotten.
- We will review your order – get special requests (handicapped, prefer back of room for sight or sound reasons, easy access to get back to dressing room if needed, etc), take payment, form marked with your number.
- We will process and place tickets in envelopes for pick-up starting Monday, May 23.
- Every person occupying a seat must have a ticket – meaning if your dancer plans to sit with you at any point, they must have a ticket.
Cash or Check will
only be accepted. Tickets are Non-Refundable.
Show Times
There will be two shows. All dancers are expected to be in
each show.
Show #1: 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.
Show #2: 4:30 –
6:00 p.m.
(Dancers should arrive and check in at least 45 minutes
prior to show time Dancers can leave during the break to visit family, have a
snack or early dinner)
Schedule
Ticket Sales: Monday, 16th - 5:30pm
Dress Rehearsal: Saturday, June 4th - 2:00pm
Recital: Sunday, June 5th - Show 1: 1:30pm to 3:00pm and Show 2: 4:30pm to
6:00pm
Upon Arrival for recital day, please take your dancer back to the back stage waiting areas – there will be signs with their song name and costume photo. They will wait there with room parents until they go on stage and will go back to that area until finale. If they leave to sit in audience, they must be back 10 dances before their number – please let room mom know.
Dress Rehearsal
Dress Rehearsal will take
place Saturday, June 4th at Edwardsville High School Auditorium from 2pm to 5pm. After each
class has run thru their dance, we'll proceed as a group to the cafeteria for
class and individual photos.
Dress rehearsal means full costume, tights, hair and make-up completed. Please no socks or under garments. We ask that you to arrive dressed in costume, with a robe or a large button up shirt as a cover up, so as not to delay rehearsal times.
Photos
No Photo or Video during Recital
We ask that you do not take photos or video during the recital. The flash is very dangerous to dancers on stage. You can take pictures during dress rehearsal of your dancer on stage. VIDEO will be available for sale of the full recital.
Costume
Everyone should have been able to make needed alterations to costumes by recital. Please remember to buy your tights from Studio front desk so that everyone matches . Each costume was sent home with a Costume Detail Sheet – including hair style, if you have misplaced this, please check with us at front desk or with teacher after class.
For recital day, please come in costume, but wear a robe or large button up/zip shirt to cover (Dad’s shirts come in handy here) – we want your costumes to be a surprise to the audience. It also helps to keep them clean and free of accidents.
If your dancer is in more than one dance – please have second costume on hanger and ready to go. Parents can come back to help make that costume change if needed – there is a classroom for changing
Room Mothers
We will need two room mothers for each class . Sign up sheets will be available at studio. Room Mothers will make sure everyone has arrived, stays occupied until stage time, hands over to staff for going on stage. Room Mothers do not need ticket, if you purchased one before you sign up, you can return that one for refund.
Love Notes
If you would like to leave
a little love note in the recital program for your special dancer, please
complete the form below and return to the front desk no later May 19.
